Work on map carving continues on a bizarre landscape sculpted by glaciers slowly grinding through glacial till, depositing rocks of all kinds along the way. The iron-rich clay makes the low tide water look pinky-orange against the grey rock and blue-white of the Von Postbreen glacier. The landscape looks and feels martian, and the detail and beauty of Von Postbreen is horrifying and mind-altering.
